3. Ideas
(1) Analysis model
A three-dimensional analysis model including the opening was constructed through analysis of each construction stage.
(2) Loads and load combinations
It includes loads that act at the time the opening exists, and since prestressing was not introduced to the area adjacent to the opening, it was applied accordingly.
We review the ULS load combination of 1.35DL + 1.05LL + 1.10P.

DL: dead loads, including:

Self weight of the concrete tank.

Weight of steel tank and suspended deck.

Weight of steel liners.

Weight of steel structures on the roof.

Weight of insulation (excludes perlite lateral pressures).

LL: live loading on the roof.
-
P: horizontal and vertical prestressing while opening is present, including short term losses.

5. Review contents
(1) Review of rebar quantity according to concrete stress
The tensile stress occurring in the rebar is calculated from the concrete stress and the amount of rebar in each direction is reviewed.
(2) Review of rebar quantity according to Clark-Nielsen Force
Clark-Nielsen Force (in-plane cross-sectional force including a combination of axial force, bending, and torsion at the reinforcing bar location) is calculated to review the amount of reinforcing steel.
(3)Concrete crushing/crack review
Identify spalling/cracks in concrete from principal stress conta and vectors, and suggest reinforcement reinforcement amounts if necessary.
