Review of structural stability in case of spill + earthquake
3. Ideas
(1) Analysis model
For the outflow analysis, 8 analyzes were performed for summer/winter conditions assuming 4 liquid levels, and a ¼ model was constructed. The structure used 3D solid elements, and the rebar used 3D shell elements.
AfterShock analysis is performed by adding a seismic load to the most vulnerable case in the runoff analysis, but since the seismic load is not axisymmetric, a separate ½ model was constructed.
(2) rebar
Reinforcement is an orthotropic material that uses shell elements after going through a verification process that compares when the reinforcing bars are modeled by strand as a line and when modeled as a surface that applies two-directional material properties, but takes horizontal and vertical direction reinforcing bars into consideration. properties was used.
(3) Ground
The ground contributes to thermal analysis, but is excluded from modelry for the purpose of saving analysis time. However, the influence of the ground on the temperature distribution of the floor plate was reflected as a boundary condition of the 3D model by deriving the floor plate temperature distribution in a runoff situation through a separate 2D thermal analysis including the ground.
(4) concrete
Concrete was reflected as a non-linear material property including cracking behavior, and the EN code was applied for Creep & Shrinkage.
(5) Seismic load
The seismic load was derived as a quasi-static seismic load through a dynamic analysis that separately considers Fluid-Soil-Structure-Interaction, and was converted into the inertial force acting on the structure and the fluid pressure load acting on the wall/floor plate.
(6) Time history analysis and step-by-step load combination
The changes from the initial temperature condition to the operating state, spill state, and post-spill seismic load state were examined through time history analysis.
4. Example analysis results
(1) Sagging shape
(2) Temperature distribution
(3) Review of compression section
(4) Examination of section force
(5) Leaflet review
(6) Reinforcement temperature and stress
By reviewing the rebar temperature and stress, structural stability was evaluated and the section requiring low-temperature rebar was determined.
