  • Safety review in case of LNG leak

3. Ideas

(1) Analysis model

  • Construction stage-by-stage analysis expressing operation status and leakage status step by step

  • 3D solid model representing more than ¼

  • Application of thermo-mechanical coupled analysis technique that links thermal analysis results with structural analysis input

  • Perform time history analysis examining various runoff levels for each of two outdoor temperatures.

  • Concrete creep/drying shrinkage effects are reflected assuming long-term load

  • Reinforcing bars are also reflected in the analysis model

Classification of material properties including insulation

(2) Material properties

  • Reflects material properties that change depending on temperature

  • Concrete material nonlinear model including spalling/cracking

  • Reinforcing bar material nonlinear model including material yield

Nonlinear behavior in compression and exponential softening surface in tension

(3) Thermal analysis load

  • Initial temperature: Initial temperature at which thermal stress does not occur

  • Constant temperature: Divided into summer/winter and achieve temperature balance under constant outdoor temperature conditions.

  • Outflow temperature: Assuming outflow situation

(4) Structural analysis loads and load combinations

  • Set thermal analysis results as structural analysis input

  • Structural analysis is performed on temperature distribution according to thermal analysis and structural loads according to ULS load combination.
