3D Shell Analysis

LNG System is used to construct a basic model for performing thermal, structural, and other analyses required in the design of cylindrical storage tanks for storing low-temperature liquefied gases.

While the modeling approach aims to meet engineering requirements, there are many different approaches to modeling, and the modeling adopted by LUSAS is only one of many such methodologies and does not imply an optimal choice.

Therefore, there may still be improvements to be made in the way we model, and engineers will need to verify and modify the model for end use.

You must have the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet application preinstalled, which is required for model configuration and outputting results. For example, when configuring a seismic analysis model, you can generate a summary of the calculations and the section force output function prints the section force results in a spreadsheet form.

This example manual describes how user input is utilized to configure the model, to help you understand the state of the model configuration and to guide you in modifying the model or troubleshooting problems.
