FAQ
In addition to LNG, it can be applied to modeling and analysis of circular tanks that store low-temperature liquids such as ethylene, propylene, LPG, and hydrogen.
yes. Please submit your request on the [Inquiry/Quote Request] page and we will assist you.
yes. Currently, design review is performed using a 3D shell model. Thermal analysis and seismic analysis require separate analysis, such as using solid elements or considering fluid-structure-ground interaction, but by mapping these results to a 3D shell model, load combination and design review can be performed in one model. Perform.
yes. It performs PM correlation review, shear force review, and decompression review that reflect Force-Moment Interaction, displays the results visually, and organizes the results in an Excel report.
yes. The crack width is calculated and the safety factor against cracking is presented.
yes. For each material property, a value that varies depending on temperature can be defined. Since it is not required in the entire design process, it is not included in the automation modeling input window (Tank Definition), but can be easily modified. Please refer to [Square/LUSAS Utilization/Change in material properties according to temperature] .
We perform engineering-related tasks such as structural analysis, design, and program development.
You can limit it to structural analysis, or set the scope of the task, such as design review based on structural analysis or design correction based on design review.
Unfortunately, we cannot assist you with drawings.
Since the number of days required to perform a task is calculated and an engineering unit price is applied, it will vary depending on the type or scope of the task.
We have experience and understanding in a variety of projects, and as indicated on the ‘Performance Performance’ page, we have been performing tasks efficiently based on our many years of experience with fluid storage tanks.
There are various approaches to performing analysis.
Before carrying out a task, we prepare a proposal by organizing the methodology or assumptions for performing the task. If there are opinions that differ from the approach in the proposal, a decision can be made through consultation.
During the consultation process, we provide assistance to determine the appropriate direction if necessary.
Although the functions of analysis programs are improving day by day, when it comes to design review of specific structures, there are areas where a lot of time and effort can be saved through program development depending on the business characteristics or quality standards of each company.
LUSAS is a program developer with analysis and practical experience in LNG storage tanks. We develop and provide programs that meet our customers’ needs using LUSAS’ programming interface.
If you are a design/construction company, you will be able to develop it as an additional function to be used with LUSAS and add a customized menu to LUSAS.
In the case of engineering automation program developers, LUSAS can be developed to run as a part of the program that develops LUSAS by using it as a modeling automation or solver in the analysis part.
There is a case in which an optimization program was developed to enable design with a minimum number of members based on automation of modeling, design review, and design review results for dome structures with various shapes.
There are also cases where a separate LNG tank modeling automation program was developed and delivered by adding parameters necessary for LNG tank research purposes.
In order to efficiently utilize other systems used by our clients, we also carry out development to convert the results output from LUSAS into the content and format needed by our clients.
There may be various methods depending on the situation, but in the case of development that adds modules used within LUSAS, the functionality of LUSAS can be expanded by running a separate installation kit.
If necessary, we also provide software security through Licensing.
