Analysis and design review
Over the past half century, the functionality of many general-purpose structural analysis programs has been steadily improved to a level where they can sufficiently perform not only basic analysis of structures but also various advanced analyzes.
These improvements in the functionality of general-purpose structural analysis programs have played a significant role in improving the overall quality of analysis results, and the core of analysis consulting has been specified from “Can a specific analysis be performed?” to “How do the analysis be performed?” .
Structural analysis using the finite element method begins with an accurate understanding of the characteristics and purpose of the analysis target structure. Even for the same structure, the results appear different depending on the review purpose and interpretation assumptions, and it is not easy to determine which result is correct.
